The Protis 19-Step Search Process
Protis incorporates a comprehensive, multi-step process that identifies the right candidate for your company. Every Protis placement is the result of this highly refined and time-tested process.
1) Initial Client Meeting
Once Protis has discussed the client's company culture in detail and understands its vision and mission, details of the hiring process are mapped out. Position requirements are explored in depth with the persons responsible for hiring. A position profile is then established, along with the hiring parameters of the client.
2) Develop Search Plan
The search process begins by identifying an appropriate Protis project team and then developing a detailed candidate and industry research plan.
3) Research
Based on parameters outlined in the search plan, Protis uses extensive national and international databases to develop a list of potential candidates or target companies.
4) Initiate Search Process
In addition to the possible candidates generated by research and databases, Protis team members network with contacts and resources and add to the list of candidates.
5) Candidate Contact
Candidates on the finalized list are then contacted and a detailed profile of each is developed. Protis then revisits the qualifications of each candidate.
6) Candidate Selection
The best qualified candidates are carefully reviewed by the entire search team to ensure they match the requirements set forth by the client.
7) Candidate Presentation to Client
Once a thorough candidate review has been completed, Protis presents clients with the information collected about each qualified candidate and gives them the opportunity to evaluate. The client and Protis work together to select candidates to interview for the position.
8) Interviews
Protis provides clients and candidates with the ability to be flexible during the interview process. Face-to-face, video conference or telephone interviews are all possible depending on timing and geography.
9) Follow-up with Client
After initial interviews are complete, Protis facilitates a detailed discussion of each of the interviewed candidates. Clients will provide feedback about candidates and the search process to date. Together, Protis and the client determine the next steps.
10) Second Interview
Setting up second interviews with the best candidates, as determined by the client, follows the same flexible process. A variety of technologies are available to make sure all parties get to the table at the agreed-upon dates and times.
11) Reference Check
When a client expresses interest in hiring a particular candidate, Protis performs a thorough examination of the candidate's references, significant resume dates and positions and clarifies any questions.
12) Follow-up with Candidate
After a last check for qualifications, Protis debriefs the candidate and offers feedback from the client that Protis then gains final confirmation from the candidate as well as the candidate's spouse or anyone else involved in the candidate's decision-making process.
13) Closing/Negotiating
During this crucial phase of the process, Protis mediates negotiations between the candidate and the employer by clarifying information and accurately expressing the needs of both parties.
14) Offer
Once a job offer has been made by the employer and accepted by the candidate, Protis assists in developing a start date and creating a smooth transition.
15) Candidate Transition
Protis is also part of the resignation process by preparing candidates for all of the issues involved, including emotional issues and relocation. Protis has the ability to provide relocation assistance and discounted moving services.
16) Resignation Debrief
Final confirmation of the candidate's start date occurs after the resignation process is complete. Protis continues to provide transition support to both candidates and clients.
17) Follow Up
Protis maintains a relationship with clients and candidates after successful transitions in order to ensure the process has gone smoothly and no detail has been left out.
18) Verify Project Completion
Based on a successful end to the assignment, Protis seeks verification from the client that all has been satisfactory and that the job is complete.
19) Request for Reference
Clients are invited to join other satisfied partners in providing a recommendation regarding the Protis process to future Protis clients.
