Bert is the Chief Executive Officer of Protis Executive Innovations, a privately owned executive search and organizational design firm specializing in human capital architecture and organizational design solutions.

Bert's mission at Protis is to build the premier Human Capital Architecture firm that assists clients in becoming great companies. Bert founded Protis in December of 1995. Since that time, the organization has been consistently ranked in the top 15 among the more than 1100- networked offices in the nation. Protis has received top nominations as a "Best of Class" office for exemplary customer service. Individually, Bert created and implemented the Consumer Products practice at Protis. He has received billing manager honors and has been awarded numerous Pacesetter recognitions for superior results. Bert is the recipient for the 2002 Protis Executive Innovations Branta Award.

Protis recently embarked on a campaign to develop the "new" Protis Executive Innovations brand. Innovation has been key in Bert's efforts for the branding of Protis Executive Innovations through a philosophy of value driven leadership with the intent to add measurable value with each placement and at every point of contact. Bert diligently provides client consultation in organizational and human capital development while assisting in the development of recruiting strategies to attract and secure "A" level talent.

Under Bert's leadership, Protis was listed in Inc. Magazine in 2001, as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Companies in the nation. Additionally, in that same year, Protis was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one of the top 25 Fastest Growing Companies in the state of Indiana. Bert has been a contributor on "Inside Indiana Business" and has provided numerous interviews and contributions to a multitude of other media sources. Protis has also been represented on the Fox 59 Indianapolis morning newscast providing insight on a regular basis to the Indianapolis community on job search and hiring related issues.

Prior to building Protis Executive Innovations as a premier search firm, Bert had a successful career in sales management in the consumer products area with the E & J Gallo Winery and ultimately with Revlon North America. While at E & J Gallo Bert began his sales career and ultimately was a district manager for the organization prior to being recruited to Revlon. At Revlon, Bert quickly advanced through six positions eventually leading the national accounts segment with responsibility for $175 million in annual revenue. He was honored with numerous "Chairman's Circle" awards but the accomplishment for which he is most proud was talent acquisition and development within the organization. Many key management personnel were promoted and mentored by Bert and are now organizational leaders.

Bert received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1985 from Ball State University. Bert and his wife Laura, live in Indianapolis with their two children.
